Summer Institute of Ministry Training
We strongly suggest all our leaders attend SIMT. It typically begins the first week of June and runs for ten weeks until about the third week of August at a cost of about $75 a week. If you are interested in attending the SIMT, or have any questions, contact Angie Franey at 320-589-1234, or email at franeyfam@morrischurch.com
What will you gain?
SIMT is designed for Christian with a "fire in their belly" and a hunger for more of God. As a student, you will receive excellent Bible-based teaching from experienced instructors with a global perspective on God's kingdom. You will have opportunities to put into practice what you learn through evangelism activities and body ministry. SIMT also encourages strong relationships with fellow believers. Friendships forged at SIMT are lasting and important parts of everyone's spiritual growth
Allowing time for personal ministry is essential at SIMT. Every believer must be positioned to discover and receive the unique call of God for their life. SIMT creates a safe atmosphere that allows God to bring healing and direction to the individual through one-on-one meetings with instructors and ministry from peers.
What will you do at SIMT?
Class begins with worship and prayer followed by classroom instruction. These sessions run 4 hours a day Monday through Friday for 10 consecutive weeks starting beginning of June (except July 4th). During these sessions, instructors will cover the following subjects:

Jesus' plan for evangelism and spiritual growth was to make disciples who can make more disciples. This was done in the context of a kind of apprenticeship, or mentoring relationship. Paul and Timothy duplicated this vision (2 Tim 2:2) and we can do the same today. If you want to grow in your knowledge of the Bible and your relationship with God, please don't hesitate to ask about mentoring.
